Week three of the summer season has come and gone. So far the weather has been sunny and for England, it has been really quite hot. Our young learners have spent time in class as well as going out and about in Hastings and the surrounding areas.
They have learnt a lot about British culture and history, and about local history including the Battle of Hastings and how pirates and smugglers, in the 17th century, managed to bring contraband into England from Europe.
The students have been to London, Rye, and Brighton where they visited the famous and important landmarks and monuments. To the students, the most important landmark(s) is the shopping centres. I think there was some time spent in the temple that is ‘Primark’.
Some of our students would like to tell you about their best/favourite trip to Brighton.
